You know that I love taking online crafty classes. At any given time, I have one (or more) running. Last summer, I took Stashbusters Anonymous at Big Picture Classes. Taught by Aly Dosdall, it featured 12 sketches with a specific product theme (buttons or ribbon, for example), to help supply hoarders actually use their pretty things on layouts.
I LOVED that class. The sketches were fairly simple and open-ended but the product theme gave me a good starting place. I completed nearly all of the challenges and added a bunch of new layouts to my albums and blog.
Someone on the TwoPeas message board was looking for a review of the class, so I commented, sharing a link to this pink layout I made for one of the challenges.
I was surprised the next day to find an email from the instructor Aly, asking if I'd be willing to contribute a layout as a "guest designer" for the sequel to her wonderful class in exchange for a free spot in the class. Woot! My gold-star loving self was happy to get this kind of recognition for my work. (Plus I would have signed up for her class lickety-split, so win-win!)
Here's a sneak peek of the page I made.
If you're feeling lucky today, answer one question in the comments and leave me your email address to win a FREE spot in this class.
"What papercrafting supply do you love to buy, but have a hard time using up?"
